Petr Simon began as a photographer within the Czech underground music scene, an environment that shaped his instinct for authenticity and raw human presence. That early immersion in real people and unfiltered spaces continues to define his filmmaking today.

Working across narrative projects, commercials and music videos, Petr builds visually driven films rooted in atmosphere, rhythm and lived experience. His work has taken him beyond Central Europe, with productions in London and New York, expanding his practice into broader international contexts.

His films explore identity, belonging and quiet tension with clarity and restraint. Whether collaborating with global brands or emerging artists, he maintains a distinct visual language informed by his photographic foundation. He is particularly drawn to projects where strong visual identity meets emotional realism.

Alongside his narrative work, Petr has directed for brands including LEGO, Skoda, About You, O2, Orange and Jägermeister, bringing the same grounded sensibility to commercial storytelling.

His work has been nominated at UKMVA, Ceny Andel and Zlatý Klinec, recognised by the Czech Art Directors Club, and featured on Directors Library.
